We strongly recommend that all Temple Law students have a new or recently purchased laptop during their time in law school. The guidelines below outline the technology requirements to ensure compatibility with the software and applications used for coursework, exams, and other academic or extracurricular activities. OWLTech

Students can purchase computer and other technology at OWLtech, Temple’s on-campus technology store. For more information, see the OWLTech website at https://shopowltech.com.

Internet Connectivity

We strongly recommend a reliable, continuous internet connection with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps for downloads and 10 Mbps for uploads. While this exceeds the minimum requirements for Zoom, strong connectivity is essential for a smooth and effective online learning experience.

  • Please note – Currently the recommended hardware and software above are only supported. Exam software will not work on other devices (eg. iPads, Snapdragon processors)
