Public Interest Mondays
Temple Law supports students who want to participate in public interest work, whether for one summer or your entire career. Career Strategy and Professional Development (CSPD) offers programming that ranges from an introduction to public interest careers for 1L students, to workshops on fellowships for 2Ls, to post-grad job searching tips for 3Ls. In addition, CSPD hosts panels of practicing attorneys throughout the year to give students a broad base of knowledge that includes not only practical tips for finding a job, but also insight into what being a public interest attorney is actually like. We also partner with student organizations, like the Student Public Interest Network (SPIN), to host lunches that give students an opportunity to ask questions with their peers in an informal setting. Finally, CSPD plays an integral role in administering the annual GPALS PIPS (Public Interest/Public Service) Job Fair, which offers students excellent opportunities to pursue practical experience with public interest employers.
Public interest programming information is announced in the weekly CSPD events email, bi-weekly email newsletter, and on the Law School Events Calendar.
