Temple students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, each with their own unique experiences and qualifications. Accordingly, Career Strategy & Professional Development advisors are available to schedule one-on-one advising sessions with students. By meeting regularly with you, your career advisor will better understand your career objectives, challenges, and successes. The better we know you, the better we can support your personal career development.
Advisors are available to work with students throughout your law school career to examine your career goals, review job search strategy, discuss ways to transfer skills and knowledge obtained through prior work experience into the practice of law, help develop outstanding interviewing skills, review and revise resumes and cover letters, provide support and encouragement, and otherwise help to chart a career course and obtain employment.
All students are required to meet with their advisor for an initial appointment at some point during their first year, and we strongly encourage every student to return frequently for subsequent advising meetings by scheduling an appointment through the CPM.
If you would like to meet with an advisor and you are unable to find an available time slot, please feel free to message that advisor directly or email Career Strategy & Professional Development at lcareer@temple.edu. You can also always reach us by phone (215-204-8806) weekdays from 9am – 5pm, or send us an email (lcareer@temple.edu).
