Most experience-based opinion would be evaluated as lay opinion and restricted accordingly. In addition, the rule governing lay opinion, Rule 701, should be given more bite. The courts should scrutinize lay opinion to make sure that the witness’s knowledge supports the inferences reflected in the opinion.

LL.M. in Taxation – Temple Law

J.D. / LL.M. in Taxation Degree Requirements. The J.D./LL.M. is not a concurrent degree, but Temple J.D. students can earn partial credit towards the LL.M. A Temple J.D. student may qualify for entry into the LL.M. program before graduation, and earn up to half of the required 24 credits for the LL.M. while still a J.D. student.

Estate Planning Certificate at Temple Law

The Estate Planning Certificate program is no longer accepting applications, and the program will be discontinued. Required coursework for current students will be offered until the end of the Summer 2025 term, and the tax faculty has created a teach-out plan so that students may complete the certificate during this period.
