Financial Aid – Temple Law
The Temple Law Financial Aid Office is the primary resource for law students regarding financial aid or billing questions or concerns. Temple Law students are not required to go through the main university Student Financial Services Office. Our in-house Financial Aid Office, with specific law school financial aid staff, is available to help law students navigate the financial aid process.
Our office, located in Barrack Hall, is open for in-person visits Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Law School financial aid counselors are also available to meet with evening division students on an individual appointment basis.
You can also reach the Temple Law Financial Aid Office via email at lawFAO@temple.edu, or by phone at 215-204-8943.
The financial aid program at Temple Law School is designed to help fill the gap between the cost of a legal education at Temple University and the student’s own resources. Financial aid may consist of any combination of academic or need based scholarships and grants, federal and private loans and work study.
Law school is an investment in your future and finding the resources necessary to meet your expenses can be complicated, however, it is in your best interest to know as much about the costs and application process as possible. Adhering to deadlines, keeping track of a substantial amount of data, and planning ahead are essential to the financial aid process.
A student’s relationship with the financial aid office and our staff begins before they enter law school and for some, continues beyond graduation day. Our staff is available for counseling to prospective as well as current students on the application process and the types of aid available to each individual student. Through the Barrack Public Interest Fellowship Program, our loan repayment assistance program, we can assist some graduates of the law school with the repayment of their student loans.
