The following are sample local policies that restrict government collaboration with ICE. They are referenced our toolkit entitled Dismantling ICE in Pennsylvania. Please note that these policies are not meant to serve as model language but can help inform advocates about what is already in place throughout the state.

For progressive employers: how to protect immigrant workers
Law Students Manish Kurien (’19), Nathan Larkin (’20), and Natalia Ruggiero (’20), worked with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs to educate progressive employers about immigrant worker rights. They created the following training, speaking notes, and handouts in English and Chinese for use by advocacy groups or employer networks.
Detainer policies reported by Pennsylvania counties
This page provides links to responses collected by the Sheller Center in 2014 from Pennsylvania counties concerning their policies on immigration detainers. These responses were collected as part of the research that led to “A Changing Landscape: Pennsylvania Counties Reevaluate Policies on Immigration Detainers.” Counties that reported that they had no policy on the subject, or that did not respond, are not included.
