The 14th Free Online Advocacy Conference feature advocacy experts and trainers from outside the academic community for best practices in teaching and courtroom persuasion.  This included British barristers and advocacy educators explaining the Hampel method; a NITA trainer discussing its latest teaching innovations; and an interview with nationally prominent trial attorneys Shanin Specter and Tom Kline discussing their new book UNCONVENTIONAL WISDOM.

Segment 1 – British barristers and advocacy educators Rehana Azib (Kings Counsel) and Bibi Badejo (Governing Bencher of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple) discussed and demonstrated the six-stage advocacy teaching method devised by Professor George Hampel KC, founding chair of the Australian Advocacy Institute. To learn more about The Hampel Method, click here.  That method will be used in an American Inns of Court training to be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in October.  Christopher Melton (Kings Counsel), an advanced advocacy trainer for the Northern Circuit and for the renowned Keble College International Advocacy Course, completed the presentation.

Segment 2 – Veronica Finkelstein discussed and demonstrated the latest in NITA teaching methods.

Segment 3 – Phil Pasquarello interviewed plaintiffs lawyers Tom Kline and Shanin Specter about their new book UNCONVENTIONAL WISDOM and the advice they give (and follow) based on decades of extraordinary courtroom success.
