This past weekend in the Superior Court of D.C., Temple’s
National Trial Team won the Capitol City Challenge Tournament
hosted by American University’s Washington College of
Law.
In the tournament’s six year history, Temple has won the
championship three times and finished second once. In this
year’s championship run, the team defeated 20 other teams,
including Fordham University in the final round.
The team consisted of Dan Assaraf, Stephanie Lutz, Charmane
Martin and Mike Toczyski. Stephanie Lutz was named
“Best Advocate” in the final round. The team was coached by
Brian Burack (TT ’11) of the Chester County DA’s Office and
Samantha Jones (TT’11) of Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check,
LLP.
