On August 3, 2016, the Temple Beijing LLM program welcomed its 16th entering class, with a total of 47 students in attendance. The opening ceremony was hosted by Temple Law School Director of Asian Programs John Smagula and Tsinghua Law School Associate Dean Liao Ying. Officials from the Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuratorate, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Banking Regulatory Commission, and State Intellectual Property Organization addressed the students, expressing their support for the program. Friends from the Beijing office of Alston & Bird, Morgan Lewis, and DHH law firm also spoke to the students, offering study and practice advice.
