Last week, Moot Court Honor Society members Kristen Coleman ’14
and Adam Accay ’14 advanced to the Quarter-Final round of the
Federal Bar Association’s 17th Annual Thurgood Marshall Memorial
Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.
The Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition is one of
the most prestigious moot court competitions in the nation.
Each year, the competition addresses emerging issues in federal
law. This year, the competition focused on Fourth and Sixth
Amendment issues that arose after the police intercepted, searched,
and seized papers that were left for a secure document removal
company to pick up.
Kristen and Adam competed against 45 other teams from across the
country, and placed in the top 8. Kristen Coleman also won
the First Place Overall Oralist award out of 92 competitors.
