Temple Law uses ExamSoft products to administer final exams. For in-class exams, students must use Examplify, a program downloaded from ExamSoft. For Take-Home exams, students must use Temple Law’s ExamSoft website.
Using Your Computer for In-Class Exams: Examplify
Students must download and register Examplify at the beginning of each academic year. The software, exam files, and step-by-step setup instructions are available at https://examsoft.com/templelaw. Please note that Examplify is only compatible with genuine U.S.-English versions of Windows 11 (32-bit or 64-bit) and macOS (version 11 Big Sur or later).

Using Your Computer for Take-Home Exams: ExamSoft
Students must access their Take-Home exams through the ExamSoft website, NOT through Examplify (which is used for in-class exams only). Unlike Examplify, ExamSoft does not restrict access to other parts of a student’s computer, the internet, or Canvas while working on the take-home exam. Downloading a Take-Home exam through ExamSoft will not interfere with a student’s ability to take an In-Class exam during the same time period.
During each finals period, Take-Home exams are available over a range of dates and are due either at a specific time or after a set duration. ExamSoft tracks when students download exam questions and upload their answers. Students will receive an automated email from ExamSoft with the dates their Take-Home exam questions are available for download. While this message should have the same information as the exam schedule, it does not supersede any information on the exam schedule. Students are strongly advised to not wait until the last minute to upload their exam answers—uploading takes a few minutes, so begin the process at least five minutes before the deadline. Late submissions may result in grade penalties.
STUDENTS CAN UPLOAD ONLY ONE ANSWER FILE PER EXAM. If the exam has more than one question, be sure to include answers to all questions in a single document and upload that document as one PDF.
