iLIT Contributes to Philly Tech Week 2022 Event Hosted by the World Affairs Council

The event, The Impacts of Technology on Human Rights Around the World, was convened by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, facilitated by EOS Tech Trust co-founder Andrea Cayley and featured remarks by iLIT director Laura Bingham and Dr. Jay D. Aronson, director of Carnegie Mellon’s Human Rights Science Center. Bingham drew on iLIT’s current student research that explores the use of surveillance technologies in Philadelphia in her discussion of the need for greater transparency in order to safeguard human rights.
