Peter Gulia

Peter Gulia is the shareholder of Fiduciary Guidance Counsel, a boutique law firm. Peter’s focus is counseling fiduciaries of all kinds. Known most for guiding a retirement plan’s fiduciaries, Peter also counsels trust companies and investment managers and advisers about their fiduciary duties and compliance procedures. Peter advises lawyers, actuaries, and certified public accountants about their professional conduct. Peter Gulia is in Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers.

Peter Gulia teaches Temple Law’s ERISA Fiduciary Responsibility course and its Professional Conduct in Tax Practice course. He is the author of custom coursebooks for those courses.

Since 1984, Peter is widely published on fiduciary duties and procedures, retirement plan investments, beneficiary designations, and domestic-relations orders. Since 1994, Peter has published with Wolters Kluwer Law & Business; he is a contributing author of six books in its Answer Book series, of ERISA: A Comprehensive Guide, and for 401(k) Advisor, a monthly. With other publishers, Peter is a Bloomberg BNA Insights author, and is a coauthor of The CPA’s Guide to Retirement Plans for Small Businesses (AICPA). Peter has taught and teaches professional-education programs for many national and local professional and business associations.

Peter sings with Choral Arts Philadelphia and The Orpheus Club of Philadelphia. His wide range of charity work includes CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia and its national outreach.
