Tax Scholarships

Barbara W. Freedman (LAW ’77) Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2005 by family, friends and colleagues of Barbara W. Freedman (LAW ’77), a distinguished member of the Law School Board of Visitors and a highly respected lawyer who served as a member of the Tax Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association for 25 years, this fund provides scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic achievement in the study of, or who have expressed an interest in studying, Taxation.


Joseph W. Marshall (LAW ’54) Scholarship

This scholarship was established to honor Joseph W. Marshall, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Law and founder of Temple’s Graduate Tax Program. The scholarship was established by Professor Marshall’s former students to honor his career as a teacher and a scholar. It is awarded annually to a third-year student who exhibits outstanding aptitude in the study of taxation.

Graduation Awards

The Joseph W. Price III Memorial Award

Awarded annually to a graduate who demonstrated outstanding achievement in the law of taxation.


The Faculty Award – Taxation LL.M.

Awarded to a graduate of the LL.M. in Taxation Program who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academic studies at Temple.
