David Y. Stauber is a Partner at Winston & Strawn LLP based in New York City. He advises on a broad range of corporate transactional matters, focusing his practice on the federal income tax considerations relating to mergers and acquisitions, fund formation and investments, and securities offerings. He has significant experience with both public and private company mergers and acquisitions, tax planning for investment funds of all types, cross-border transactions, qualified opportunity zone structures, corporate restructurings, and both inbound and outbound international tax matters. David is a frequent public speaker on a variety of federal tax matters and the author of several articles.
David received his Bachelor of Talmudic Studies summa cum laude from Beth Medrash Govoha in 2001, his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2008, where he received the Merit Award for Taxation of Financial Instruments, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2019.
David is a member of the New York Bar and the New Jersey Bar.
