There are two virtual events next week for students to learn about career opportunities in tax with the federal government.
The first is a program on Federal Career Opportunities in Tax Law on September 1, at noon. Speakers include attorneys at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and the DOJ Tax Division. Students will learn about these institutions and the variety of career opportunities available. On a related note, Robin Greenhouse, IRS Division Counsel for Large Business and International and a Temple Law Alumna, reached out to make sure Temple students know that IRS is hiring, including hiring recent graduates through the honors program.
The second event is a Department of Justice Tax Webinar on September 3, at noon, that specifically addresses career opportunities at the Tax Division, its honors program hiring for next fall and its summer internship program. The Tax Division is conducting outreach to attract high-quality candidates and also to diversify its applicant pool, which has been a priority for some time.
