Steve Harris serves as senior vice president and chief Ethics and Compliance officer, leading Lincoln’s enterprise compliance team.
With Lincoln’s 2022 recognition as one of Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies, Harris can share high-level perspective on building a top-notch ethics and compliance program that aligns across the company’s various businesses. He can also share the importance of partnering with middle management on ethics and compliance issues and how essential a central communication strategy is for ethics and compliance.
Prior to joining Lincoln in 2017, Harris served as vice president and corporate chief compliance officer for The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he had also previously held a variety of senior roles within the company’s Employment Law unit. He began his career 30 years ago as an associate at several law firms in New York before moving to Wiggin and Dana LLP, where he started as an associate and went on to achieve partner status. He earned a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
