Joseph M. Sedlack

Joseph Sedlack is a partner at Reed Smith. He is the leading lawyer of the Private Client Services team. His practice is primarily representing high net worth individuals, including major shareholders and executives of closely held and publicly traded entities. His practice also concentrates on corporate, partnership, real estate, mergers, acquisitions, international tax, sports and entertainment, charitable organizations, estate and tax planning areas. He is the author of many publications, is a frequent lecturer on tax matters, and is also a member of the adjunct faculty at University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Joe has been selected through peer review for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for Tax Law (1999-2020), and for inclusion in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for Tax (2004-2019).

Joe is graduate of the University of Notre Dame, 1973, B.A., summa cum laude, where he was a member of the Committee of Academic Progress (an advanced program permitting completion of an undergraduate degree in three years), Phi Beta Kappa and a Notre Dame Scholar (1969-1973). He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, and his LL.M in Taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
