The Systemic Justice Project at the Sheller Center for Social Justice has released a\u00a0preliminary report<\/a>\u00a0on indigent defense in Montgomery County, entitled \u201cStrengthening the Office of the Public Defender.\u201d The report provides specific guidance and recommendations for implementing best practices for the governance and operation of the county\u2019s Public Defender Office.
