Dennis W. Morrow

Practice Professor of Law

Professor Dennis W. Morrow teaches litigation-focused courses. His doctrinal courses consist of Evidence and Federal Courts & Jurisdiction, and his writing courses consist of Legal Research & Writing I and II (and, in past years, Legal Research & Writing III: Civil Motions Practice).

Before joining the faculty, Professor Morrow practiced at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in Philadelphia. There, he represented clients in complex civil litigation, commonly in disputes relating to consumer protection, contract, or product liability. He also maintained a pro bono practice; his representations included litigating (and favorably settling) an inmate’s federal civil rights claims, drafting and arguing a “Right-to-Know Law” appellate brief on behalf of the ACLU of Pennsylvania, and regularly working in connection with the Homeless Advocacy Project.

Professor Morrow brings to the classroom a wide range of practice experience. His litigating experience includes participating in depositions, oral arguments, pretrial conferences, civil trials, and arbitrations. His writing experience includes drafting documents that span the litigation spectrum, both in federal and State court and as part of alternative dispute resolution.

Professor Morrow received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Temple Law School. There, he graduated in the highest class-rank percentile and received the Stewart P. Keeling Award for earning, during the third year, the highest GPA in his class. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Mayor’s Scholar.
