The Online Status Check allows you to view the current status of your application, a listing of the letters of recommendation we have received on your behalf, the current mailing and email address we have on file for you, your residency status and your day or evening division preference. If any of this information is incorrect, please contact our office so that we can correct it as soon as possible.

Status Types

Your application will have one of the following status types:

The Office of Admissions has received your application and is reviewing it to determine if there is any missing information.

Your application has been received and your Law School Report has been requested from LSAC. Files are Incomplete when we are waiting to receive and process your Law School Report from LSAC. You are advised to check your LSAC account or contact LSAC directly to determine what information is missing.

Your Law School Report has been received and reviewed for completeness, and your file is now ready for review by the Admissions Committee. Files are forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review in the order in which they are completed, and it typically takes eight to ten weeks from the completion date for a decision to be made on an application file. If you have indicated your intention to sit for a future LSAT exam, we will place your file on hold and wait to receive your new scores before passing it on to the Committee for review.

Your application has been sent to the Admissions Committee for review. On average, it will take from 8-10 weeks for an application to go through the application evaluation process. We appreciate your patience during this time. Once the Admissions Committee has completed the review of your application, your online status will be updated to reflect the Committee’s decision.

You have requested that we hold off on the review of your application until a specific letter of recommendation has been received by our office and added to your file.

You have indicated that you will be taking a future LSAT and the review of your admissions file is in HOLD – LSAT score status until that score is received by our office.

You have indicated that you will be applying using a GRE score. The review of your admissions file has been placed on hold until your GRE score is received by our office.

Decisions on applications for transfer or visiting student status are typically not made until mid to late summer.  All applications will be placed on hold as they are completed until they are ready for review by the Faculty Admissions Committee.

Your application has been withdrawn from consideration, either at your request or by the Admissions Office because you did not complete all of the application requirements.

Decision Notification Process

Admissions decisions are made on an ongoing basis from December until May. All admissions decisions will be communicated via email and will also be posted online via the Online Status Check. It is extremely important that you keep us up-to-date if your email address changes. We do not provide any decision information over the phone.

Please feel free to contact the Admissions Office with any updates or questions you may have. Thank you again for your application to Temple Law School.
