Private student alternative loans are managed through private lenders, issued in the student’s name, and require a credit-worthy co-signer. Eligibility, rates, terms, and conditions vary. Approval and interest rates are based on the borrower’s and co-signer’s credit and income.

Federal Work-Study – Student Financial Services

Federal work-study is a Federal Grant that allows students to earn funding via a bi-weekly paycheck to help cover non-billable educational expenses. Federal work-study funding does not get applied towards tuition and fees. You must work an approved work-study position to earn the funding.

Understanding Your Aid Offer – Student Financial Services

Federal Unsubsidized student loans are available to eligible undergraduate, graduate and professional students, but in this case, the student does not have to demonstrate financial need to be eligible for the loan. You are responsible for paying all interest on the loan.
