Event Description
On November 21, from 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM, Temple University Beasley School of Law will host “30, 10 and 1,” remembering the advocacy lessons of JoAnne Epps one year after her passing and of Eddie Ohlbaum, now 10 years gone, and celebrating the 30 years of Temple’s first-in-the-nation LL.M. in Trial Advocacy.
The Program
The program will take place at the Law School and consist of 3 hours of CLE:
- Ibbity Bobbity Boo: Deciphering and Applying the Magical Language of Eddie Ohlbaum. (1 substantive credit)
- Rhetoric and Persuasion: 14 years ago, JoAnne Epps coauthored “12 Secrets of Persuasive Arguments.” Persuasion is key to the history and mission of the LL.M. program. This hour will remember and build out from those lessons. (1 substantive credit)
- Evidence and Ethics: Both JoAnne and Eddie were Evidence scholars focused on ethics in Evidence law. “Excelling in Evidence” is core to the LL.M. This hour will highlight critical Evidence issues and the underlying ethical concerns many of them raise. (1 ethics credit)
Please join Temple Law for a reception after the conclusion of the program.
